Un-Install (Removing 20/20 DataShed from Your Web Site)

"Install" - a Misnomer

The term "install", in traditional applications, refers to the process of copying files, creating registry entries for drivers and files, starting services, etc. Those activities are required by typical software packages that rely heavily on the tools and resources available in a computer's operating system.

In regards to web applications, the term "install" takes a different meaning. Webmasters often use the term loosely to refer to the process of "uploading" files to a web server. This procedure isn't a typical "install" in the strictest sense of the word.

Therefore, web sites and most web applications are not officially "un-installed", but rather they are simply "removed" from a web server.

So, like deleting a web page from a web site, so too can you simply delete 20/20 DataShed's files.

Follow Up
