File/Folder Security (NTFS Permissions)

This section assumes that you have direct access to the NTFS Security interfaces on the web server's machine.

For example, if you are using IIS (Internet Information Service) in Windows XP Professional or Windows NT, Server 2000, or Server 2003, then this information will help you configure the permission/security settings appropriately for 20/20 DataShed.

Easiest Configuration (Minimum Security)

• NTFS Permissions - Minimum Security (Easiest). The easiest and fastest way to configure the NTFS Security settings on the 20/20 DataShed source files. This method is the simplest, but also the least secure.

Maximum Security

• NTFS Permissions - Maximum Security (Default Database Location). If you desire maximum security and your database is located in the parent folder (its default location), then this information will help you configure the NTFS Security settings appropriately.
• NTFS Permissions - Maximum Security (Custom Database Location). If you desire maximum security and your database has been relocated, then this information will help you configure the NTFS Security settings appropriately.
